Vote for Girls on the Run Atlanta on Facebook!

June 17, 2010

Chase Community Giving Girls on the Run AtlantaChase Community Giving is hosting an event on Facebook where the top 200 charities that receive the most votes will win up to $250K! Imagine how many pairs of running shoes for deserving girls that can buy! To vote for Girls on the Run Atlanta, click here. You’ll need to have a Facebook account, then ‘Like’ Chase Community Giving and then you’ll need to click on the green ‘Vote’ button.  The event ends 25 days from today’s post, so get crackin’!

Once you vote, you’ll have a page created for you that shows your voting history and lists how many votes you have left (badges listed in the top right corner). Each person gets a total of 20 votes they can use for this contest, although it appears you can only use one vote per different charity.  However, you also have the ability to send a ‘Gift Vote’ to your friends, so that they can vote twice for GOTR Atlanta (once with their regular vote and then again with the gift vote).  I’m still not entirely sure how you earn these to give out, but I imagine you have to have voted for others. I just know of their existence because a friend sent me one last night. Once I figure out more info, I’ll update this posting.** Since this isn’t an event where only one group can win, but multiple, think of other charities that your friends are involved with and see if they are willing to ‘trade’ votes. Why not, sharing makes the world a better place!

Please be sure to share this with your friends so that we can get as many votes as possible. This money can go a long way to helping our girls and our organization!

**UPDATE**The friend who sent me the gift vote said that once she had used more of her 20 available votes, she was given a gift vote to give away. So think of other great organizations and use those 20 votes and then you’ll receive the extra gift vote to give away.**
