Who Are We:

Hello future readers, we are students in a writing class at Georgia Gwinnett College. For the next month and a half, we will be writing blog posts informing supporters about girl’s practices, interviews, and 5k run for the Girls on the Run Organization (GOTR). The posts will include pictures and videos showing the girls in action during their training. We will interject handy tips on how to be healthy when you are training for a 5k while informing the community about the GOTR organization. We are truly excited about the opportunity to write for the “Why We Run Blog”.

Over the next six weeks, our class will produce weekly blog posts for the “Why We Run Blog”. These posts will cover a variety of topics ranging from interviews with GOTR runners, interviews with coaches, and even diet strategies for the runners. Our class is composed of several runners who can easily relate to you the readers. We hope that our posts will encourage readers to provide more feedback to the blog. Along with the blog posts we will be going on visits to the practices leading up to the end of season 5k. Some members of our class will even be running the 5k with the girls! We are all very excited for the opportunities to come.

We chose to work for GOTR because we can relate to the pressure that the girls have to face in the coming years. We hope that in some way our work will benefit you. Girls on the Run is an outstanding organization and we are very honored to be working with them
