Metro Atlanta Races: October 6-7

It’s October, mornings are turning chilly and pumpkin patches abound  Check out the races taking place around metro Atlanta this weekend. Lace up and get moving! 

  • 5k Run/Walk for Clean Water: Suwanee Town Park Center, Suwanee, GA. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 9:00 a.m.  Proceeds go toward raising awareness and providing clean water to Nicaraguan families. For more information and to register, click here.
  • Ryder’s “Carve Out Cancer” 5K: Dodgen Middle School, Marietta, GA. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. Whether you race, jog or walk, this is a “Rally” to celebrate cancer-survivor Ryder’s life and to support the Rally Foundation, which which raises funds for childhood cancer research.   • Cobb County 5K to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation:  Marietta Square, Marietta, GA. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. A scenic loop from Marietta Square, through the neighborhoods in the area, and back to the Marietta Square with proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish® Georgia to grant wishes for Cobb County children with life threatening medical conditions. For more information and to register, click here.
